At Honch, we're always tracking the UK's most exciting companies as they prepare for rapid growth. In August 2025, we identified 90 funded companies, and we've selected a handful that are set to redefine their sectors:
- Paragraf (£412.5million, Series C) – Pioneering the mass production of graphene-based electronics, Paragraf is transforming sectors from quantum computing to industrial automation. Their Series C funding, one of the largest for a UK deep tech company this year, will accelerate manufacturing capabilities and enable wider adoption of graphene devices, positioning the company as a global leader in advanced electronics.
- Big Potato Games (£14.22million, Private Equity) – London-based Big Potato Games creates easy-to-learn, quick-to-play board games that delight players worldwide. The recent private equity investment will accelerate new product launches, expand their international footprint, and boost digital offerings. This move marks a strategic scaling point for the profitable, IP-driven business.
- Phoebe (£12.75million, Seed) – Leveraging AI to automate software reliability, Phoebe’s platform acts like an “immune system” for live production environments. Their seed funding will support the public launch of the platform and rapid expansion, helping companies across fintech, digital commerce, and SaaS improve uptime, reduce operational risk, and free engineers from manual incident resolution.
- Bumper (£8.14million, Series B) – Bumper’s BNPL platform helps drivers manage unexpected car repairs and servicing costs. The Series B extension will accelerate the company’s transformation into a full-stack automotive platform, integrating payments, business intelligence, and operational tools. Already operationally profitable, Bumper is on track to triple its gross merchandise value this year.
- Irys (£7.5million, Series A) – Irys is building the world’s first programmable datachain, enabling secure, fair monetization and management of data. The Series A funding will expand infrastructure, grow the team, and drive institutional adoption ahead of the mainnet launch. By turning data into programmable economic assets, Irys is laying the foundation for the next generation of the AI economy.
These highlights represent just a fraction of the companies funded in August. At Honch, we provide comprehensive insights into all the UK's growth-driven companies and the key decision-makers behind them.
